Marla R. Lander, M.D. is a Board Certified Diagnostic Radiologist with fellowship/ specialty training in Breast Imaging and Diagnosis. She devotes her professional life to taking care of and educating women in the arena of breast disease, and bone density health. Dr. Lander has an extensive public speaking background, and has appeared on health related T.V. shows. She has a very "hands on" approach to breast care, and does not like to hide in her dark room reading films, away from her patients.

As a direct result of her years of interacting with women and talking to them about their concerns and hopes, she formulated the idea of DESERT WOMEN'S HEALTH. This entity would exist to educate, and clinically treat people with weight loss resistance, stress and sleeping disorders, fibromyalgia rheumatica, and low bone mineral density. Desert Women's Health gives people a chance to take control of their own health. We also have programs to optimize pre and postoperative healing, as well as a program for pre and post partum/ (pregnancy) health. Another area that we offer education in is breast health, a natural area of interest for Dr. Lander.

She has assembled a wonderful multispecialist expert panel in order to provide a much needed approach to health care.
