Dr. Marla Lander is a Board Certified Radiologist with
specialty / fellowship training in breast diagnosis and imaging.
She was born in Southern California, and graduated with honors from
U.C. Irvine's college of Medicine, and Undergraduate college. After
medical school, Dr. Lander interned in general surgery, and then studied
diagnostic radiology for five years at U.C. Irvine, Long Beach V.A.
and Long Beach Memorial hospitals. She subsequently spent one
fellowship year exclusively studying breast imaging, diagnosis,
and disease in Falun, Sweden, and in Orange County, California.
Dr. Lander had the distinct honor of training in Sweden under
the tutelage of Dr. Laszlo Tabar, a man considered to be the
international, "Father of Mammography". Dr. Tabar's principles and
ongoing input are used as a guide for The Breast Health Center.
Marla Lander, M.D. has an extensive lecturing background to
the public, and
other health care providers on the subjects of breast imaging,
diagnosis, disease, and bone mineral
density testing, treatment and the implications. |
